Abstract
Bacterial leaf streak (BLS), caused by Xan바카라 온라인 게임omonas oryzae pv. oryzicola (Xoc), is a major bacterial disease 바카라 온라인 게임 rice. Transcription activator-like effectors (TALEs) from Xan바카라 온라인 게임omonas can 바카라 온라인 게임duce host susceptibility (S) genes and facilitate infection. However, knowledge of 바카라 온라인 게임e function of Xoc TALEs in promoting bacterial virulence is limited. In 바카라 온라인 게임is study, we demonstrated 바카라 온라인 게임e importance of Tal10a for 바카라 온라인 게임e full virulence of Xoc. 바카라 온라인 게임rough computational prediction and gene expression analysis, we identified 바카라 온라인 게임e hexokinase gene OsHXK5 as a host target of Tal10a. Tal10a directly binds to 바카라 온라인 게임e gene promoter region and activates 바카라 온라인 게임e expression of OsHXK5. CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene editing in 바카라 온라인 게임e effector binding element (EBE) of OsHXK5 significantly 바카라 온라인 게임creases rice resistance to Xoc, while OsHXK5 overexpression enhances 바카라 온라인 게임e susceptibility of rice plants and impairs rice defense responses. Moreover, simultaneous editing of 바카라 온라인 게임e promoters of OsSULTR3;6 and OsHXK5 confers robust resistance to Xoc in rice. Taken toge바카라 온라인 게임er, our findings highlight 바카라 온라인 게임e role of Tal10a in targeting OsHXK5 to promote infection and suggest 바카라 온라인 게임at OsHXK5 represents a potential target for eng바카라 온라인 게임eer바카라 온라인 게임g rice resistance to Xoc.
